Will any food actually arrive?
No, never. Khaali is not a food delivery service. The restaurants are made up, the rider is part of the app, and the bag is always empty. That is the whole idea.
So what am I paying for?
The experience of ordering: browsing, building a cart, checking out, tracking the rider and getting your receipt. It gives the craving something to do while it fades.
Can I get a refund?
If a payment fails, is charged twice or your order doesn't go through, we'll refund it. Since no food is ever promised, a delivery of nothing is not a reason for a refund. Our refund policy has the details.
What data do you keep?
Your name, email address and photo from Google sign-in, any addresses you save, and your order history, so we can run your account and send your receipts. We never see your card or UPI details; the payment provider handles those. You can delete your account any time from the Account page in the app, which deletes everything we're allowed to delete. Basic payment records are kept, without your name, for tax law. Our privacy policy has the details.
Is Khaali a diet app?
No. It's for cravings, not meals. Please keep eating proper meals. If you're hungry, eat something real and filling. Khaali is for the 1 a.m. biryani you didn't really need.
Does Khaali really stop cravings?
It can't promise to. It gives a craving 15 to 23 minutes and something to watch, which is often enough for it to fade, and the ideas behind it are well studied. But Khaali itself hasn't been tested in a scientific study, and some cravings will still win. That's fine.
Why not just wait 15 minutes for free?
You absolutely can, and our craving guides show you how. Khaali is for the nights when waiting with nothing to do doesn't work, because the browsing, ordering and tracking are the part you were after.
Who makes Khaali?
Khaali is a small, independent project by Akhil N in Ahmedabad. You can read more on the About page, or write to [email protected].
Do I need to download anything?
No. Khaali runs in your phone's browser. To keep it handy, use "Add to Home Screen" and it opens like any other app.
